  As far as pet stores go, this Oliver Pets location is a decent spot, depending on what you are after. They do have live fish and other small animals, which some pet stores do not. However, their food area -- particularly cat food -- does not compare to some of the larger pet stores in town. All in all it depends on precisely what you are looking for as to whether you may frequent this store or not. That tends to be typical of pet shops generally and I end up patronizing several of them based on the different brands of food that they carry. Service here has been fine for me on my visits.

  I'm not usually a huge fan of pet stores, if i want a new pet i often go straight to the breeder. But I was in olivers about a week ago and they had such cute bunnies! Aha. And when I started grilling one of their employees about which food would be best for my wheaten terrier they were actually quite helpful and it seemed like they wanted to help me. Iv stopped going to petsmart because they just treat me like any other customer. Guess olivers is my new pet store :p

  Used the self serve dog washing station. It worked really well and was reasonably priced. Very convenient for us during the winter. We have a big dog (100lbs) and spent $30 to wash and dry her. Very nice to have all the supplies provided for you... Just bring your pup!

  If you're looking for good quality pet supplies, this is the place. Service is iffy though. Most of the employees are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. But it's hit and miss. Unfortunately, when you get a less helpful employee, it can be unpleasant enough to make you not want to return. When I come to a pet store with questions, I expect the questions (and my business) to be welcomed. So, when I am ignored, treated coldy, and made to feel like I'm a nuisance by employees who clearly don't enjoy working with the public, I know it's time to go out of my way to make my purchases at the Burlington Oliver Pets instead of Oakville. You need to learn some basic Customer Service skills, Little Redheaded Girl.
